A new entry?

Been so long since I posted here... it's been a crazy few months.

Feb. 11, the new addition arrived, prematurely. James Elliott, tipping the scales at 5 lbs, 5 oz... wound up staying in the hospital longer than anticipated...

Wound up delivering him early due to preeclampsia that got out of control - resulting in a very dramatic 2am emergency c-section. Like something you'd see on Grey's Anatomy!

Finally got the baby home, and was just starting to get things under control, when poor little James got sick with some mystery virus, requiring a week-long stay in the intensive care unit at Cook's.

Finally got the baby home... again... and then began the battle of teaching the preemie how to eat properly - preemies are notorious lazy eaters!

By the time I finally got *that* situation under control, the whole family came down with a cold and then diarrhea... you name it, we've had it.

So today is Kate's birthday party - can't believe my little Pinkie is two! George is 3, and James is 2 months and a strapping almost 8 lbs.

Nanny is hosting Kate's party today, should be fun.

Greetings from Kawai

So I haven't updated in a couple of weeks, this is mainly because I've been out in the middle of the ocean the last little while.

The cruise has been really fun so far - it's been pretty busy nonstop though.  We're in our third port today, with one more to go here in Hawaii before we turn around and head back to the mainland.  I'll post a big update when I get home on the 10th.

1.89

Still dropping... I need to fill up tomorrow actually, that reminds me.

A friend gave me a bag full of her kid's last years jackets and coats. Designer stuff too, unlike the Walmart brands I would normally buy. (Hey, they're toddlers, and they don't care if they get the $10 jacket or the $35 one.) But nothing beats "free", and George sure looks stylin' in his new denim jacket.
Work continues on the neverending closet project - now approaching about 25% complete. This week contributions will include, most likely: drilling more holes, adding a top shelf and a coat rack, caulk, and more wall panels. Yay for anal-retentive home improvement projects!

Tonight should be fun - my bro and SIL are coming over for some pizza and Wii-playing fun times.

1.94

Spotted 1.89 over in Lake Worth yesterday. Still dropping, interestingly enough.

2 more weeks until departure... The clock is ticking.

1.98

No sex was determined at today's sonogram. For that we must wait another week. The big surprise we got was that Jon and my estimation of due date was considerably wrong! Instead of early April, we are due February 20 - making me nearly 25 weeks pregnant.

Interestingly, the doctor consistently refered to the baby as a "he", though, which could be because I tend to do that and she was following my lead OR it could be that she snuck a lil peek in. Who knows?
